If you are looking for a great dentist’s office in Syracuse, NY, you have come to the right place. Following in her father’s footsteps as a dentist, our leader, Dr. Laura, has now been practicing for more than 25 years. So, you can trust that you will be in good hands while you are in our care.

We will do our best to keep your oral health on track, and quickly restore it, should anything ever go awry. Living in this day and age, chances are good that you will, at some point, have to work through some level of tooth decay.

Stay On Top Of Your Health

Here’s the good news: a small cavity that is caught early on won’t be any big deal to correct. But you have to come in regularly for us to be able to detect what is going on. Once we notice a cavity, we can get right to work stopping the spread of the decay through a dental filling.

Fillings are a time tested method for halting decay, and there has long been more than one type of dental fillings for treating cavities.

In the old days, most dentists used silver or gold to make fillings. That technique worked well enough for the era. And some folks didn’t mind it. But these fillings did have their limitations. As it happens, silver is a stable compound made with mercury, silver and traces of other metals.

That can be problematic if you have allergies!

Beyond that, they were known for creating ugly metallic splotches on top of your teeth. If you are of a certain age, you can probably still see the ones you got in your youth. They are hard to miss.

There have also been concerns raised about the potential for dental fillings that are loaded with mercury to adversely impact a patient’s overall health. So far, there has not been conclusive evidence that silver fillings are harmful, but why would you want to take the risk? Especially when there is a better way available.

A Better Kind Of Filling

In our Syracuse dentist’s office we now use a composite resin material that blends in with and bonds to your tooth as opposed to the old-school fillings that destroyed your smile and made you worry about levels of toxicity.

The treatment will be safer and more subtle. And we will make sure you don’t feel any pain. It will be a fast and easy experience all in all.

Take The Next Step!

If you have a cavity, you now have an alternative to metal fillings. Your teeth will look and feel great! Plus, with fillings from us, you won’t have to worry about any root canals or extractions in the near future.
